One morning I awoke and was led to the following verse:
(NJB) Isaiah 42:16 I shall lead the blind by a road they do not know, by paths they do not know I shall conduct them. I shall turn the darkness into light before them and the quagmires into solid ground. This I shall do — without fail.
Here is the verse from the WEB version: I will bring the blind by a way that they don’t know. I will lead them in paths that they don’t know.I will make darkness light before them,and crooked places straight. I will do these things,and I will not forsake them.
Reflecting back, I asked myself—“Hasn’t YHWH turned my darkest days into bright mornings?” Consistently, in his own divine timing, YHWH has done this without fail in my waking life and even in my dreams! How could I ever turn my back on the wisdom of knowing that YHWH is an honorable God? I cannot. Speaking of the dark days people are currently living in, who hasn’t experienced some period of darkness? Some form of waking nightmares? It isn’t easy. To some, killing oneself could be easier. I know that is not what life is about. Life is about experiencing the highs and lows and through it all maintaining a balance; not being jaded by the past, nor fearful of the future. That in itself isn’t easy either. For spiritual people, and those who are trying to cultivate spirit-connection from within, it is a process of learning not to trust in what is seen with carnal eyes or depend on people. It is about trusting in YHWH and that although you might be seeing and experiencing outrageous things, YHWH will lead you out of them all. Sometimes it feels like you are about to fall or falling and you have nothing physically to hold onto. While falling it seems like you have nothing sound to break your fall, but if you trust YHWH, he will catch you before the fatal impact. It is an experience and an important piece of knowledge to have in these uncertain days.
